Reasonable Games is dedicated to compiling one of the best collections of
non-violent logic and puzzle games around. We give preference to games that meet
the following criteria:
We will consider games that meet the above criteria and which
fall into one of the categories listed below:
|

|
Adventure Games - These are games where the
user enters a particular world or playing area and interacts with the scenery
and people there. The object is to collect certain objects, move from one scene
to another, find a secret object, etc. Although there are many adventure games,
we will only include those in our library that require problem-solving skills to
successfully complete the game. This also means that the solutions to problems
should be logical (for example, sticking a fish in a door to open it is NOT
logical). |
 |
Jigsaw puzzles - These are standard jigsaw
puzzles that involve putting pieces together to form a picture (or other
object). |
 |
Logical Games - These are games that have
multiple levels, with each level having a puzzle to be solved. Each level is
usually a standard playing field on which the player has to collect flags, find
the exit, get past obstacles to a specific object, or some other task. The
graphics usually do not change much from level to level, only the layout of the
pieces on the playing field. |
 |
Strategy Games - These are games that
require you to use strategy to outwit your opponent (which may be another player
or the computer). |
 |
Visual Puzzles - These games require
recognizing patterns, spotting the differences between objects, getting certain
types of objects to line-up together, etc. |
 |
Word & Number Puzzles - These games
involve the manipulation of letters, words or numbers to get a high score or
solve a puzzle. |
 |
Miscellaneous - Anything that doesn't fall
into the above categories, but still requires problem solving and would appeal
to those who love logic, strategy and puzzles, can be found in this category. |
At the moment we do not accept the following types of games:
-
Card games
-
Color-matching games (unless there is something very unique
about it)
-
Classic board games (unless there is a special twist to it)
-
4 or 5-in-a-row type games
By submitting a game to us, you are acknowledging that we can
not be held responsible for any complaints about the game. Responsibility for
the game remains the sole responsibility of the author of the game.
We require the use of PADGEN for all submissions. This is a
program used for packaging information regarding your software. You can
get this program for free from http://www.asp-shareware.org/pad/
You will also find details on its use there. Authors also benefit from the use
of PADGEN in the following ways:
-
More and more websites are requiring the use of PADGEN which in
turn saves you from typing in the same information repeatedly.
-
You can update the program information at your leisure on your
own computer without having to be on-line.
-
Updates are simplified since you can simply update the PADGEN .xml
file and resubmit it.
Finally, "Reasonable Games" is a fairly low
maintenance website. No-one works full-time maintaining this website. We have
real-world jobs that we are dedicated to and maintenance of this site occurs
when we have a bit of free time. As a result, updates occur only once a
month (on average) and response time to your submissions/suggestions may take
anywhere from 1 to 8 weeks. Please be patient, we will respond!
